Get together in groups of five - Imagine that you work for a quite successful company, which has just decided to move office. Therefore you need to decide how to have it re-designed and furnished. Unfortunately not all of you agrre on how this is to be done; discuss the matter in a groups of five. Person one; Pete Salvers, a young controller, who wants the cheapest version, modern but cheap you are in favor of driving up to an IKEA store and getting everything by yourself. each one should pick their own furniture and you don't care much about design or architecture. your main point is that it has to be cheap Person two: Jin Paulozza you are very much aware that modern architecture and design make a workplace more agreeable and that this might also add to the success of a business. You know that it is not cheap but think that in the long run it will pay off. You would like to be your office designed by a well know architect. No matter what this will cost. It's good promotion and will draw new clients. Person three: Greg Finspaan; you want to stay in the old office. It is nice but too small. Not moving would save a lot of money and, since you live really close to the old office it would also mean that you could save half an hour of commuting time. Try to find arguments against moving office. Person four: Gale Marella; you are the boss of the company. Your function is to chair the meeting and you will eventually have to decide what happens. Person five: Raul Safers: you are the secretary and you are to take roll of the arguments brought forward. The secretary also writes down any words that come up in the discussion where the translation is unclear or unknown. The secretary also makes sure that an agreement is found by the end of the meeting. |
