This website is the result of a project on pirates and piracy by the students of the Ballet class, 7th grade, at BG und BRG mit musischer Ausbildung, Boerhaavegasse 15, 1030 Wien.  It was initially inspired by the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" and resulted in further inquiry into the topic.  This school is a grammar school with a musical branch in Vienna, Austria.

The biographies and historical texts are the result of students'  research and group work.
